Editing Rates

Includes: Full content edit.  Author may email editor with questions as necessary and editor will respond within 24 hours.  Editor may also email author with questions as necessary and the author will be expected to respond in a timely fashion.  The author and the editor both agree that the professional relationship can be ended at any time if it is clear it is not working out, but the editor will be paid for the amount of work done. (If we've gotten  through 15,000 words of your 25,000 word story, you will be charged $1,000 instead of $2,000, etc.)

Does not include: Copy-edits or proofreading.  If your work is unreadable due to terrible grammar, we will not content edit it until you get that part fixed.  Also does not include coddling.  If you want to pay someone to tell you your crap smells like roses, go somewhere else. 

There will be a non-refundable $300 deposit for stories 5,001 words or over.   Once we get into these lengths, it starts to eat up a lot of our time and means we will have to start turning away projects.

The cost represents the starting word count, not the ending word count. 

Payment methods: You will be emailed an invoice via PayPal after we discuss your project.  When you pay via the invoice, you agree to all of the above.

Up to 100 words: $25 
101 - 500 words: $50 
501 - 2,500 words: $100 
2,501 - 5,000 words: $250 
5,001 - 10,000 words: $500 
10,001 - 20,000 words: $1,000 
20,001 - 50,000 words: $2,000 
50,001 - 75,000 words: $3,000 
75,001 -110,000 words: $4,000 
Over 110,000 words: $5,000 base and then we'll talk about it.
